Donna is survived by her sons, Bryon Ahrendsen (Deb) and Robert Ahrendsen (Renee); grandchildren, Brandon, Dakota, Kenner, Dalton, Novella, Sonya and Kyle; siblings, Raymond Ricklefs, Robert Ricklefs, Gloria Schmidt, Dixie Nielson, Randy Rickles and Scott Rickles; other family members, Aunt Darlene Wichman, Harold Ahrendsen, Stacy Ahrendsen and Ruthie Mosser; and her cat, Merli. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hansen; son, Jeff Ahrendsen; and loving pets, Merlin, Seeken, Mack and TT. Special thanks to friends, Kurt and Cindy Gunther, Mary and Arnie Allmand, too many friends to mention, and the Diamond Jo family. A Celebration of Life is Jan. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. at the National Motorcycle Museum at the intersection of highways 151 and 64 in Anamosa. A graveside service will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa. Donna requested memorial donations be made to the Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control (900 76th Avenue Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404) in place of flowers. The family thanks the wonderful staff and doctors at St. Luke's Hospital. Donna was known to be the one to turn to in times of trouble or when in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Donna's greatest love and focus were her boys. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.iowacremation.com under Obituaries.
