Donald Leroy Bender, 96, of Madison, Miss., formerly of Iowa City, died peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at his residence.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, concluding with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Don's name to Iowa City Hospice.
