Ramona Cummings, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Cottage Grove Place. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrant Paula Meyer will officiate.
Ramona was born March 29, 1930, in Walker, Iowa, to Loyd and Cora (See) Bellach. After graduating from high school, she was united in marriage to Lloyd "Bud" Cummings on Nov. 5, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. To this union, two sons were born.
She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Antique Club, American Business Women's Association and PEO Chapter II. She enjoyed traveling the world.
Ramona is survived by her son, Bob (Teresa) Cummings of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren, Justin Cummings (fiancee, Crystal Horn) of Marion, Jennifer Cummings of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jessica (Zac) Mizaur of Marion, Joshua (Debbie) Cummings of Morley and Jordan Cummings (Jen Nichols) of Mechanicsville; three great-grandchildren, Dominick Williams and Leonardo and Rylee Cummings; and two sisters, Teri Miyamoto of Gurnee, Ill., and Co Wagner of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; son, Roger Cummings; a sister, Linda Fisher; and brothers, Larry and Jim Bellach.
