Orrin Steve Gorsch, 66, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. A private family service will be held with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has been entrusted with Steve's care and services. Survivords include his wife, Karen; a son, Steve and his wife, Marcie; two grandchildren, Garrett and Alyssa; and three siblings, Bernie (Becky) Gorsch, Russ (Carolyn) Blumer and Jim (Jeannie) Blumer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle and aunt, Rawson and Alice Gorsch.
Orrin Steve Gorsch was born April 29, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of Orrin and Betty Eernisse Gorsch. Steve graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. He married Karen Fluckiger on Jan. 29, 1971, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello. Steve was employed at Energy Manufacturing and also operated Gorsch Upholstery Shop for 37 years.
