Patricia Anne King, 69, of Olin, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Jones County Regional Hospital in Anamosa. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Olin Community United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services' Olin location. Burial will be held at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction.
Patricia Anne was born April 9, 1948, in Aiea, Hawaii. Her parents were Charles and Bernice (Cave) Hoffner. Patricia was united in marriage to Sanford King on Jan. 13, 1968. She was a member of Olin Community United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Patricia spent her time as a homemaker and mother, and sold Avon for many years. She also worked for Collins Radio and was a waitress at Cavey's Cafe. Patricia enjoyed going to casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Patricia's memories are her husband, Sanford; and their four children, Lynnette (Brian) Buhrman of Marion, Shannon (Kevin) Schneider of Donnellson, Walt (Jackie) King of Preston and Kolin King of Olin; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, with one on the way. She also is survived by her brother, Charles Hoffner II of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
