Jerry also enjoyed fishing and landing many different species of fish, ranging from walleyes, catfish and largemouth bass to salmon. A skilled outdoorsman, he pursued not only spring morel mushrooms but the incredible variety of Iowa fall mushrooms as well. Jerry entertained most everyone he met in life, through his storytelling and joking personality.
