BENEDICT "BEN" OSWEILER

Benedict "Ben" Osweiler, 86, died Dec. 8, 2017. A Catholic Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Osceola. Interment with military rites will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sigourney. A visitation also will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Powell Funeral Home in North English.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Jolene Steyne on Nov. 10, 1956, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. They were blessed with seven children.
Survivors include his children, Tim (Cheryl) Osweiler of Cedar Rapids, Marcy (George) Fotiadis of Osceola, Phil (Holly) Osweiler of Williamsburg, Randy (Candace) Osweiler of Williamsburg, Roger (Paula) Osweiler of Victoria, Minn., Kevin (Anita) Osweiler of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Brenda (Ed) Hebl of Corydon. Also surviving are his three sisters, Donna Daub of Kankakee, Ill., Imogene Steele of Barnes City and Margie Clarahan of Harper.
Memorials may be directed to HCI Care Service in Osceola or Knights of Columbus in Osceola.
