Michael E. Coghlan, 63, of Dundee, Iowa, formerly of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Michael may call from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville, where services for Michael will be at 5 p.m., with Deacon Jerry Koopmann officiating. Burial will be in Thorpe Union Cemetery, rural Manchester, Iowa, at later date.

He was born July 14, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Earl "Bud" and Rosemary (Smith) Coghlan. He was a graduate of Monticello High School, Monticello, Iowa. He was a truck driver for Long Haul and Hainstock Trucking. He later was employed at Dyersville Die Cast and Farm Tek.

He was an avid football, NASCAR and baseball enthusiast.

He is survived by three daughters, Angela Coghlan and Amy Coghlan, both of Cedar Rapids, and Stephanie Coghlan of Minneapolis; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Coghlan of Cedar Rapids; four siblings, Randy (Kay) Coghlan of Toddville, Iowa, Dave (Sherrie) Coghlan of Marion, Iowa, Brenda Morris of Dubuque, Iowa, and Dan (Tricia) Coghlan of Center Point, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Coghlan of Asbury, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Jerry Hain of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Allen Coghlan; and two sisters, Denise Hain and Anna Marie Coghlan.

A Michael Coghlan Memorial Fund has been established.
