Ruth P. Robertson, 99, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon, Iowa. Visitation: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. There will be a private family burial at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Ruth was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Eura and Mary (Sells) Tarr. She married William J. Robertson. Ruth retired from Cryovac after 40 years.
She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Donna) Robertson of Stanberry, Mo.; nine grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and many special friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Eura and Mary Tarr; husband, William; son, James; and six siblings.
