The Hawkeyes out-gained the Scarlet Knights 438-125 in a dominant display.
Nate Stanley completed 16 of 28 passes for 236 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Two of his TDs went to New Jersey native Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who totaled 113 yards on four catches.

Keith Duncan was 3-for-3 on field goals, converting from 46, 19 and 43 yards.
The Iowa defense picked off Rutgers quarterbacks twice, with Djimon Colbert and Michael Ojemudia doing the honors. Starter McLane Carter was just 5 for 15 for 22 yards and a pick in the first half. Arthur Sitkowski wasn't the answer, either; he completed 4 of 11 for 19 yards and an INT.
