Iowa football at Minnesota: Predictions, How to watch
The Gazette
Oct. 6, 2018 10:00 am
Iowa is a 6.5-point favorite at Minnesota on Saturday in the Battle for Floyd of Rosedale. The Hawkeyes (3-1, 0-1) and Golden Gophers (3-1, 0-1) are both coming off bye weeks in search of their first Big Ten victory.
Predictions
Marc Morehouse — Friday night in Minneapolis, there's a party at the Nomad World Pub called 'North Ender.' It is a celebration of all that is Dubuque. I will be there. For how long? That depends how much Dubuque still is in me. Iowa 27, Minnesota 10
Mike Hlas — Bronzed pig, Golden Gophers. This game will test the Hawkeyes' mettle. Iowa 20, Minnesota 9
Jeff Johnson — Can someone going to the game please bring me a 6-pack of Schmidt beer back? Do they make Schmidt beer anymore? Iowa 28, Minnesota 14
Beth Malicki — In high school it was a romance phase, and I was convinced my prince would arrive mid-Algebra and rescue me. At age 42 my reading obsession is true crime and I've bought three canisters of pepper spray and know full well that the prince is likely dangerous. Iowa 27, Minnesota 17
Ben Visser — Iowa will row Minnesota's boat. Iowa 24, Minnesota 3
Todd Brommelkamp — I have a replica of Floyd of Rosedale in my office. I kid you not, someone once thought it was the real deal. P.J. and I still laugh about that one. Iowa 23, Minnesota 12
