Don't fret, Floridian Hawkeye fans. The Outback Bowl is still in play.
A trip to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl remains the destination most bowl projections have for Iowa, but a third visit to Tampa in six years for the Hawkeyes isn't out of the question.
Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta told reporters Tuesday night those are the top two options for the Hawkeyes.
Right now, Ohio State and Michigan appear to be in line for New Year's Six bowls from the Big Ten, with Penn State currently ranked No. 12 and also in contention. Northwestern could get to the Rose Bowl by upsetting the Buckeyes in Saturday's Big Ten championship game.
Iowa will learn its bowl fate Sunday, soon after the final College Football Playoff rankings are announced.
