Leon and Vera Mehring were married 70 years ago in Rushden, England, on October 20, 1945 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
They have 5 children: David (Pam) Mehring, Leon (Vicki) Mehring, Stephen (Melissa) Mehring, Denise (Jerry) Vander Sanden, and the late James Mehring.
They also have 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
They celebrated their special day with family and friends on Saturday, October 24, 2015 with a special dinner party and entertainment in their honor.
