Celebrating National 4-H Week October 4 - 10, 2015

The Linn County 4-H Youth Council sponsored their annual pie auction at the Linn County Fair on Sunday, June 28, 2015. All proceeds go toward the 4-H Youth Council Scholarship Fund. From that fund, scholarships are given to support all Linn County 4-H Junior camp participants,

Intermediate Citizenship trip, attendees to the Iowa State 4-H Youth Conference in Ames, Washington Citizenship Focus and college scholarships to eligible Linn County 4-H Youth Council members. Recipients of the 2015 college scholarships presented at the Linn County Fair on Wednesday, June 24th, are left to right: JD Waybill (Central City), Katie Hamilton (Cedar Rapids), Morgan Grabau (Robins), Nicole Enabnit (Central City),

Rachel Staal (Central City) and MiKayla Hartl (Central City).

The Linn County 4-H Youth Council wants to say "thank you very much" to everyone who donated or purchased a pie at this event,

as the above scholarships would not be available if we didn't have the support from everyone.

A special "Thanks" to John Airy, who has been our auctioneer for several years now.

He does a wonderful job getting everyone involved in this fun event for the 4-H youth.
