Elizabeth Ruth Putman of Cedar Rapids and Thomas Bradley Appel of Marion, IA announce their engagement.

They plan an October 7, 2011, ceremony at All Saints Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandra and Steve Putman of Cedar Rapids. The future bridegroom is the son of Linda and Kim Appel of St. Louis, MO.
