Gorsegner - Ptacek

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Joseph Ehlinger of Cedar Rapids, announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Denman Gorsegner, to Mr. Lucas Edward Ptacek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ptacek.

Whitney is also the daughter of the late Ronald Herbert Gorsegner. An October 22, 2011 wedding is planned at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.

Whitney graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids and will graduate in May from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography and a minor in Art History. Lucas graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Coe College. He completed his master's degree in PK-12 Principalship at the University of Northern Iowa, and is employed by the Cedar Rapids Community School District at Harding Middle School.
