Whitaker - Claassen

Kelcy Whitaker and Matt Claassen were united in marriage on July 23, 2011, during an outdoor ceremony at Toad Valley Golf Course in Pleasant Hill, IA. Rev. Mike Andrew of the Atkins Presbyterian Church officiated. A reception followed the 7:00 p.m. ceremony where guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, mini golf, a photo booth, and dancing.

Parents of the happy couple are Clark and Norma Whitaker of Hillsboro, IA and Bill and Jeannie Claassen of Newhall, IA. 

Kelcy graduated from Harmony High School and Simpson College and Matt is a graduate of Benton Community High School and Simpson College. Kelcy is employed with the State Court of Appeals and is employed with ING Insurance Corp., both in Des Moines, IA.

Following a Hawaiian honeymoon, the couple is at home in Pleasant Hill.
