Julianne & Dale Wirtjes of Hiawatha, IA are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa, to James Mitchell, son of Jan Mitchell-Hotka and Jeff Mitchell, both of Cedar Rapids.
Melissa graduated from Kennedy High School and Mt. Mercy University with a degree in psychology. She is currently employed as a preschool teacher at Hiawatha Day School. James is a graduate of Jefferson High School and the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in political science. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Phoenix. James is employed as a sales representative at Glazer's Distributors of Iowa.
A June 30, 2012 wedding is planned at A Touch of Class in Cedar Rapids.
