They were united in marriage on July 10, 1971 at Central Park Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. Due to heavy rain and flooding, the ceremony was delayed from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
They are parents to four children, Jeff (Ruthi) of Oskaloosa, IA, Jody (Jorg) of Cedar Rapids, Sarah (Zach) of Swisher, IA, and Jace of Solon, IA.
They have five grandchildren, Cassidy and Harrison of Oskaloosa, Kenzie and Travis of Cedar Rapids, and Brody of Swisher.
