USN Retired
Cdr. Craig Hanson served in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Officer and Submarine Repair Officer from 1982-2003. Craig started his career in NROTC at Iowa State. He had initial training in nuclear power in Orlando, FL and Balston Spa, NY, followed by submarines in Groton, CT. He served on a sub out of Norfolk, VA followed by grad school in Monterey, CA and school in
Groton, CT. He then served on a sub and
shipyard in Charleston, SC. Tours followed in Monterey, CA, Bremerton, WA, Bangor, WA and Portsmouth, NH in ship repair or school.
