and Joyce Elaine Olson
of Cedar Rapids were
married on Thursday,
Sept. 18, 1947, at First
Lutheran Church in Conroy, IA. A celebration luncheon was held in their
honor on August 19 at
Elmcrest Country Club,
hosted by their daughter,
Jill, and her husband,
Gregory Cross, of Chicago.
They also have one son,
Jeffrey, of Reno,
NV. Harold "Hal" worked
for the City of Cedar
Rapids as City Clerk
and later as
Commissioner
of Finance, retiring
in 1991. Joyce enjoyed
a career with AT&T.
Hal and Joyce look forward
to celebrating their
75th anniversary in 2022.
