60th Anniversary: Margaret and Paul Smith

Long-time CR civic activists celebrate 60 years of marriage today. Both were active at Central Park Presbyterian Church, in the United Nations

Association and the Mound View Neighborhood

Association.

Margaret was involved in starting Linn Co. Day Care, served as Pres. of local LWV, worked in Interlibrary Loan at CRPL and was 1st Pres. of CWA Local there.

Paul taught Physics & Astronomy at Coe and was active in the Iowa Democratic Party Caucus-Convention Process.

Daughters Valerie Smith and Amy Dorff live in the CR metro area. Paul and Margaret moved to

Colorado in 2004 and have recently moved into assisted living.
