CEDAR RAPIDS — Orchestra Iowa and Warner Bros. Discovery will present “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony” on March 7 at the Paramount Theatre.
Conducted by Emmy Award winner George Daugherty and created by Daugherty & Emmy Award winner David Ka Lik Wong, “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony” has delighted audiences worldwide — from the New York Philharmonic and The Philadelphia Orchestra to the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House — since 1990, when the production first sold out Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre as “Bugs Bunny On Broadway.”
Since then, the concert has appeared with over 250 symphony orchestras worldwide to audiences exceeding 2.5 million people. This latest edition of this popular production premiered last July at The Hollywood Bowl for 20,000 fans, just in time for Bugs Bunny’s 85th Birthday and the concert’s 35th anniversary.
