Theresa Kay Scheuerman, 81, of Hiawatha, died after a short illness on Friday, February 20, 2026, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. A celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Theresa and her family.
Theresa is survived by her sons, Michael (Danielle) Scheuerman and Kevin (Jamie) Scheuerman, both of Cedar Rapids; sister, Lola (Bob) Anderson of Marion; three grandchildren, Darren, Zoe, and Dane Scheuerman; and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Wally and Laverne Kimm; and brother, Wayne Kimm.
Theresa was born on May 18, 1944, daughter of Wallace and Laverne Brecht Kimm in Norway, IA. She graduated from Norway High School. Theresa worked as an administrative secretary for Rockwell Collins for 35 years.
Theresa loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, boating, and the simple things in life. She loved watching sports, especially the Hawks, college basketball, and the NCAA tournaments. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
Memorials may be directed to the family for an established memorial fund.
