Three people were injured Sunday morning when a wrong-way driver hit an oncoming car head-on.
The crash happened around 4:52 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 15, 2026) on Highway 151 near Jordans Grove Rd.
Investigators say Jacob Hungate, 24, of Marion was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 when he struck a vehicle being driven by Haylee Bowser, 18, of Anamosa. A passenger in Bowser’s car, Lily Mathis, 18, of Cedar Rapids was also injured in the crash.
All three were taken to area hospitals of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Charges against Hungate are pending, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
