Keith J Sorenson
Keith J Sorenson
Cedar Rapids
Keith J. Sorenson, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away February 6, 2026.
Keith was born December 22, 1951, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Milton and Rosella (Van Erem) Sorenson. He grew up working side by side with his father on the family farm, learning the value of hard work and self-reliance. He later worked for himself, building a roofing company, then expanding into home construction and eventually house flipping.
Keith was the beloved husband of Andie (Carter) Sorenson. Together since 2015, their life was marked by deep love, mutual respect, and an extraordinary bond—one so steady it never knew a single fight.
Keith was a devoted father and is survived by his children: Tressa Wilson (Brian), Keith Sorenson Jr. (Heather), and Brent Sorenson (Mindy); grandchildren Deshjon, Samantha Devin, Dasia, Milton; and great-grandson JoJo (Josiah).
Keith was preceded in death by his daughter Leah Wara; father Milton Sorenson; mother Rosella Sorenson; brother Jerry Sorenson; and sister Karen Meetz.
Keith will be remembered for the quiet ways he loved, the loyalty he gave freely, and the calm he brought to those around him. He loved bass fishing and woodworking and would drop whatever he was doing if someone needed help. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
No services will be held. He requested everyone have a cigar and a shot of cheap whiskey in his memory. We plan to do this June 21, 2026. Join us in Cedar Rapids (location TBD) or celebrate his memory where you are.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Critter Crusaders.
