Rita Mae Fry, formerly of Robins, passed away on February 6, 2026, in North Liberty. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12th, from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Stateroom. Visitation will also be Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hiawatha. Interment will be held 2:00 pm at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born on May 13, 1942, in North English, IA, to Paul and Una (Grimm) Walsh, the oldest of eight children.
Rita held many positions throughout her career. She retired as an administrative assistant at the Duane Arnold Energy Center in 1985. Throughout her “retirement”, Rita served as a backup receptionist at Robins City Hall and a Linn County election worker.
She enjoyed volunteering at Hospice of Mercy, the same organization that was there for her during her final months.
Rita is survived by five of her siblings, her children, Kevin (Ann), Kent (Trudi), and Katherine (William) Partridge, and six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She loved to spend time with her family.
The family would like to thank Keystone Place at Forevergreen for their compassionate care over the past six years.
Rita’s endless positivity and selflessness touched many lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
