Mary was born June 25, 1929, in Center Point, Iowa, the daughter of Roy C. and Eva (Cornell) Floyd. She graduated from Center Point Consolidated School. Mary was active in the lives and activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She tried not to miss any events including baseball, softball, and basketball games or swimming and wrestling meets, just to name a few. There were thousands of sporting events she attended, no matter how far the trip. Mary enjoyed golf and bowling leagues and the occasional casino trip. She loved dogs, especially Schnauzers.
Mary’s family requests guests wear their favorite sports team in honor of her passion for sports and her devotion to the Chicago Cubs, Detroit Lions and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
