Marion police officers on leave after officer-involved shooting Wednesday
The shooting reportedly happened on Deer Valley Drive

The Marion Police Department has reported there was an officer-involved shooting in Marion on Wednesday morning.
The shooting was announced via a news release from the department.
The department has not yet released other information about the shooting, including what happened leading up to it, whether anyone was injured or killed, or how many officers were involved.
Police responded at 7:50 a.m. to a call for service in the 4100 block of Deer Valley Drive, and officers fired shots at some point after arriving on scene, according to the release.
“There is no threat to the public but the involved officers have been placed on critical incident leave,” the release states.
The department stated in the press release that more information will be provided at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
