This February, the African American Museum of Iowa will host special programming in honor of Black History Month.
Throughout the month visitors can enjoy a pop-up exhibit made possible by the NAACP of Cedar Rapids. The exhibit features art by Ames Community School District elementary students led by their art teacher, Brian Randolph. Their collaborative art pieces highlight notable Black Americans.
This exhibit is free and open to the public. Visitors can also participate in a book exchange throughout February. Simply bring a book and take a book.
