At 3:22 a.m. on January 29, at the age of 48, Jerry Francis Lalor passed away. He leaves behind his greatest joys, Quinn and Aaron—two beautiful boys who were the center of his world.
Survivors include his children, Quinn and Aaron; his loving, patient, and caring father, Frank; his siblings—Lisa (Jay) Johnston, and their son Nile, Christie Lalor, Rich Lalor, Jenny (Mathew) Leyser, and their children Bailey, Lily, and Owen; and his former wife and friend, Kayla Sanders.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Lalor.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the University of Iowa Health Care, and Iowa City Hospice. We are grateful for your kindness and guidance.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM, prior to the funeral. A private family committal service will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Jerry was an avid Hawkeye fan and has requested that you wear your black and gold.
The Mass will be live streamed at youtube@icsaintmary.com or through the Lensing website www.lensingfuneral.com on Jerry’s Tribute wall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the education fund for Quinn and Aaron in care of PO Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52244.
