CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art Museum Store is hosting a Trunk Show of wearable art from local artisans on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests to the Museum Store Trunk Show will have the opportunity to meet and speak with all the artists and to buy wearable works of art, supporting local artists in our community. Participating artists include Emily Davis, Spike Dupree, Randy L. Estes, Zoe Filzer, Lori Kidd, Mileah Mesch, Susy Meyer, Patty Smith, Susy Meyer and Mary Zeran.
“The Museum Store Trunk Show is a wonderful opportunity to purchase unique wearable art and support the local art scene at the same time!” said CRMA Executive Director Sean Ulmer. “Like our ever-popular and well-attended Artists Market in November, the Trunk Show offers a wide variety of artist-made items, this time with a twist in that everything is wearable. Art making a fashion statement! From jewelry to scarves to clothing to purses, there is plenty to tempt you. All just in time for your Valentine’s Day needs.”
Admission to all 16 galleries is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Scavenger hunts for children and adults alike will be available at the Visitor Services Center.
