Constance Ann Charipar, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 of dementia at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids. She was cremated at Murdoch Funeral Homes. Services were held at her interment at Linwood Cemetery by her parents.
Connie was born November 18, 1934, the daughter of Andrew and Lenore Charipar. She was baptized April 14, 1946, at Sinclair Presbyterian Church in Iowa City. Graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids in 1953. Graduated from Wayne School in Chicago, Illinois, and received a certificate for dental assisting in September 1956.
Connie loved to watch daytime soap operas on television, play with the dogs, listen to and read about Elvis Presley, and play pinochle with the family.
Connie is survived by her brother William (Amy) Charipar of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews John (Michelle) Cassidy of Marion, Iowa, Andrew (Jennifer) Charipar of Jacksonville, Florida, Scott Blackledge of Texas; nieces Terri Cahill of Cedar Rapids, Kris Blackledge of Thornton, Colorado and Tracey (Ray) Mallari of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Lenore Charipar, and her sisters Kathryn (Milo) Cassidy and Carolyn (LeeRoy) Blackledge.
