As lifelong Iowans, we believe public service is about stewardship, character, and putting people first.
Between the two of us, we have spent our lives serving our community in different ways. Jim has been a public schoolteacher for over 50 years, dedicated to educating generations of Iowa students. Kate spent more than 40 years as a Realtor and 34 years as a small-business owner, helping families put down roots and build their futures. Together, we have fostered more than a dozen children, opening our home and our hearts to those who needed stability, guidance, and hope.
These experiences have shaped our understanding of leadership and responsibility. That is why we believe Joe Mitchell is the right choice to represent Iowa’s 2nd District in Congress.
Joe understands how to manage budgets responsibly, lead large teams with different perspectives, and make tough decisions while keeping people at the center. He supports law and order, strong local economies, affordable housing, and policies that make the American dream attainable for young Americans across Iowa. Those priorities reflect the values we raised our children with: hard work, accountability, respect for others, and service before self.
Washington needs leaders who understand real families, real classrooms, and real small businesses. Joe Mitchell brings that understanding with him, and we are confident he will represent Iowa with integrity, common sense, and Iowa values.
For the future of our district, our state, and our country, we proudly support Joe Mitchell.
