The Coralville Police Department has released the identity of a woman who died Friday after being stabbed in the 2800 block of Spring Rose Circle.
Amber Nicole Martin, 41, of Coralville, was the wife of James Fuller Martin, 47, of Coralville, who was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in relation to her death, according to a press release from the Coralville Police Department.
According to a criminal complaint, James planned to kill Amber in the hours leading up to the murder. He grabbed a kitchen knife and surprised her as she exited another room, stabbing her repeatedly. He reportedly admitted to stabbing her when police took him into custody at the scene.
He had not had a first appearance in court as of Monday afternoon.
