Bandana’s BBQ closes only Iowa location in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — A barbecue franchise has closed its Cedar Rapids location.

A front door sign in recent weeks started notifying diners that the restaurant, 3707 First Ave. SE, will close on Jan. 12.

The restaurant has been in Cedar Rapids since its opening in 2017, according to KHAK.

The location is Bandana’s only restaurant in Iowa. The chain has 18 locations across Missouri, four in Illinois, one in Indiana and one in Kentucky.

Bandana’s BBQ’s corporate office in Missouri did not return requests for comment regarding the circumstances of the Cedar Rapids closure.
