Jeremy Lee Farr
Cedar Rapids
You, Jeremy Lee Farr, 41, devastatingly departed this world, at our home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 5, 2026.
You were born on April 7, 1984, welcomed by your parents, Rickie Farr and Sandy Peshek Wedewer, and older sister Lisa (Brian) Comer. You grew up in Mt. Vernon, graduated from high school in Springville, then joined the Local 81 Heat and Frost Insulators Union.
When your mother later remarried, not only did she find herself a husband, but you a "step dad" and a best bud in Papa, Rick Wedewer.
Your beaming smile and vibrant personality lit up every room you ever set foot in.
You never met a stranger. You were always willing to talk to anyone. You were also willing to help anyone with anything. None of us will ever forget all of the things you've done for us, for no reason other than that's who you were, an eternally giving, helpful, loving soul.
If you weren't found out on the river, playing bags, or around a fire (only because it was too cold); then you’d be in the garage tinkering with something. Or at least that was the excuse to go have a beer and a smoke, and probably yap to someone on the phone.
You were preceded in death by many. I hope you’ve reunited with ones you never forgot, your grandmother, the kid brother you took under your "wings,” Justin Kleinschmidt, and your loving soul dog, our Misty Moo.
You left more people here on this earth than we can even begin to name to grieve an impossible loss. We are all going to need each other in order for any of us to wrap our heads around this and be able to get through it. That being said, we all know you would have never wanted a formal service, or a sad day. So instead, we will have a Celebration of Life at North Point, 621 Center Point Road NE, on January 31, 2026, from 1-5 pm. Please come join us to celebrate Jeremy's life and send him out with a beer and some good story telling, just the way he would have wanted.
As you would say, love you always and forever, no matter what!
Love, your wife, Andie
