Susan Voss, 75, of Iowa City, passed away on January 5, 2026 at her residence.
She was born on June 4, 1950 in Springfield, Illinois to Clinton and Rosemary (Grove) Hinderliter. On April 26, 2021 she married James Voss.
Susan worked for many years at the University of Iowa Hospital as a unit clerk, retiring in 2016.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, James; children: Brian (Danna) Jones and Michelle (Sean) Olson; her grandchildren: Kelsey and Zachary Olson and Jaxson, Jersey and Jonah Jones; brothers: Clay, Mark, Randy, Rick, and Todd Hinderliter; as well as 12 nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per Susan’s request, cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held later this year.
