Rodney Lee Everets, 58 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed on December 2nd, 2025.
Rod had a gift for storytelling and a way of making an entire room laugh. His stories, were filled with humor, charm, and personality, leaving lasting smiles and memories for all who listened. He also found great enjoyment in fishing and relaxing with a good whiskey, moments that reflected his love for simple, meaningful pleasures.
Rodney was the loving father of Rodney Tatro, Riley Everts, and Alex Williams. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren-Preston, Ryan, Eli, Emberly, and Braxtyn—who brought him immense pride and happiness. He was a stepfather to Jeramy Simmons (Stacy) and their four children-Jayden, Jaylah, Jayce, and Jaymeson-as part of his extended family.
Rodney Everts will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his laughter, his stories, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and the stories that will be told for generations to come.
He is survived by his 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 sisters Kathy Ghiselin, Diane Everts, and many other extended family members
