Dick Jack Rundle, 92, died Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Clarence Nursing Home,
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Monday morning, December 29, 2025, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 am Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Jan Lamont will officiate at the services.
Surviving are 2 sons, Rodney (Kristi), Enid, OK, Rory (Elaine), Cedar Rapids, a daughter-in-law, Kari Rundle, Mount Vernon, 5 grandchildren, Joshua (Anna), Jeremy (Taylor), Bodey (Shelby), Kalli (Shane), Hannah, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Alma and Dot. He was preceded by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Judy, a son, Randy Jack, brothers, Junior and Bob, and sisters, Jenny, Daisy, Harriet and Carol.
Dick Jack Rundle was born August 24, 1933, in Hardscrable, near Monticello, the son of Harrison and Dorothy Manley Rundle. Dick graduated from the Monticello Community Schools. He married Judy Ann Aldrich on February 24, 1956. After serving in the Army in Germany the couple lived in Cedar Rapids and Springville before moving to Mount Vernon where they raised their boys. Dick worked at Collins Radio for over 35 years.
Dick and Judy raised and sold registered Quarter Horses on their acreage. Dick loved working with the horses. He also enjoyed going camping, and fishing trips.
