NORTH LIBERTY — A new senior living community is set to open in North Liberty, at the intersection of West Forevergreen Road and Julia Drive, in the fall of 2027.
Cedarhurst of North Liberty will be a three-story, 139,000-square-foot building with a mix of unit types.
Sixty-five units will be set aside for independent living, 47 for assisted living and 21 for memory care.
The facility also will offer a fitness center and a regular schedule of activities for residents.
“We’re proud to introduce Cedarhurst to Iowa with the development of our first community in North Liberty,” Nick Dwyer, director of development at Dover Development, said in a news release.
Cedarhurst Senior Living is owned by St. Louis-based The Dover Companies, which was founded in 2007 to develop high-quality senior housing.
“Expanding into our eighth state is a meaningful milestone, and North Liberty has been an outstanding partner throughout the process,” Dwyer said. “We’re eager to bring exceptional senior living options to the families who call this area home.”
Cedarhurst Senior Living operates more than 50 senior living communities in Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, Nebraska and Kansas.
