Republicans need to extend ACA credits

The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
Mariannette Miller-Meeks has no better option for health care insurance coverage than Ashley Hinson has had. Hinson wanted HSA’s which had no benefit in negotiating down the cost of the health care provided and are wholly inadequate to cover insurance premium increases compared with extending ACA credits.
Miller-Meeks with her eleventh-hour, panic-scramble bill has done no better. She uses tag lines for what her bill would do that have nothing to do with their real results that will end up costing her constituents way more than extending ACA credits. And it would do nothing to address health care costs.
Republicans are infamous for creating catchy little titles for their legislative proposals that, in most cases, do exactly the opposite in their net results. Miller-Meeks has done it again.
