Michael “Big Mike” Pazour, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Swisher American Legion, 68 3rd Street SE, Swisher, Iowa, 52338. Food will be provided and bar is optional.
Mike was born February 8, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son to Charles and Lucille (Riha) Pazour. He graduated from Jefferson High School and started his employment at Hy-Vee on Wilson and worked at Quaker Oats until his retirement.
Mike enjoyed being outside gardening, his flowers, traveling, walking, staying at different campgrounds, and attending stock car races. He loved to cut wood to keep the wood burning stove going. Mike never met a stranger, he knew everyone.
Mike is survived by his children, Derek Pazour and Michael Pazour; two grandchildren; sisters, Deb (Bill) Law and Doreen Cook; nieces and nephews; several friends; and beloved cats, Henry and Hector.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Tom Pazour, Sharon Hangartner, and Sheryl Pazour.
