Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Clarence with Pastor Frank Shepherd, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Judy was born August 19, 1938 in Iowa City to Arnold H. and Wilhelmina L. (Weseman) Kleppe. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s UCC, went to Sunday School every Sunday, and sang in the Junior and Youth Choir. Judy was involved in Junior and Senior High Fellowship, was in the marching band and concert band, sang in girls chorus and mixed chorus, and belonged to 4-H. She was a 1957 graduate of Clarence High School, and during school and after graduation she helped her mom and dad with their farming operation. Judy took over the farming operation in 1963 after her dad passed away, and continued farming with the help of a farm hand.
On March 9, 1970 Judy married William E. Feldman of Tipton, who was also a farmer. They combined the two farming operations on the Kleppe home farm in Clarence, farming side by side with livestock and grain until William passed away in 1992. They had a daughter, Julie Louise Feldman, who has had livestock since 1993. The farmland was farmed by Duane and Jan Dierks until 2018 and is now farmed by Duane and Jan’s son Brad, as well as Larry Elijah.
She is survived by her daughter Julie of Clarence, and family members and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
