Fire department responds to Cedar Rapids Ingredion plant
Firefighters quickly bring starch dryer fire under control

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to a fire Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids Ingredion plant, according to a press release from the fire department.
Firefighters were dispatched to the corn milling facility, 1001 First Street SW, at 10:52 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fire in a starch dryer inside a building, the release states.
The fire department quickly found the fire and brought it under control, and no injuries were reported, according to the release.
