Margaret Rae (Lynch) Lehner, age 81, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA on Friday, December 5, 2025, surrounded by her family.
A private inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Margaret was born on February 23, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Vera (Holcomb) Lynch. On April 8, 1967, Margaret married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Lehner, in Cedar Rapids, IA. Margaret enjoyed baking, sewing, doing crosswords, and pets. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory are her husband, Chuck of Cedar Rapids, IA; her children, Dorian (April) Lehner of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Sara Lehner of Cedar Rapids, IA; her granddaughter, Caitlyn Lehner of Cedar Rapids, IA; her sisters, Cathy (Tom) Anderson of Marion, IA, Marie Buhrman, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Alice Sinon, of Norfolk, VA; and her dog, Kasey. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital for all the love and support they showed Margaret while she was in their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids.
