Beth Ann Mysak, 79, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Boyson Heights Senior Living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will greet friends and family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Springville Cemetery in Springville.
Beth was born on July 3, 1946, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of August Warren and Thelma Mae (Pagel) Baumgartner. She was a 1964 graduate of Edison High School in Waterloo, Iowa. On October 12, 1968, Beth was united in marriage to Stephen Anthony Mysak in Iowa City, Iowa. To this union, three sons were born, Todd, Travis and Troy. She began work at a hospital prior to employment with Rockwell Collins for several years. Beth left Rockwell to raise her sons and be a devoted loving housewife. Eventually, she went back to work for Springville Community Schools. Together with her husband, Beth co-owned and operated Mysak Grading & Landscaping in Springville and Mysak Farms. One of her many passions was horseback riding, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also loved watching Western movies and murder mysteries. Most of all, Beth loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beth is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Todd (Stephanie) Mysak of Springville, Travis (Staci) Mysak of Marion, and Troy (Angela) Mysak of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Faye (Stephen) Nixon, Jesse, Alaina, Andrea, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Alexander and Lucas Mysak; sister, Lynn Baumgartner of Springville; brother, Curt (Ann) Baumgartner of Denver, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 47 years, Stephen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
