CEDAR RAPIDS — After several months of anticipation, a new pizzeria has opened in downtown Cedar Rapids.
Dua Pie, a restaurant specializing in New York style pies, subs and pasta, opened at 375 Third St. SE on Nov. 19.
The new restaurant fills the vacancy left by Gianna’s Italian Beef, which closed without warning early this year, after about seven years in business.
The new menu’s featured specialties include several varieties of ravioli, pizza pockets like Stromboli and calzone, and a full menu of pizzas including margarita, supreme and chicken alfredo.
Hot sub sandwich options include chicken Parmesan, meatball and Philly cheesesteak.
Dua Pie will be open for lunch and dinner six days a week, plus late night service until 2:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
