David Fisher, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, November 23, 2025. A visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for David, under “videos,” starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
David was born on July 5, 1947, in Cedar Rapids to Arthur and Vanita (Pauls) Fisher. He grew up in Lowden and later lived in New Hampton, Webster City, Marion, and Hiawatha, Iowa. A graduate of Lowden High School, he went on to attend Upper Iowa University. David served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970.
He married Linda Sue Mundschenk in Rowley, Iowa; they later divorced. Over the years, David worked for Lefebure and Sara Lee before owning New Outlooks, Inc. for 20 years and later running DAF Investments LLC. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church, the Cedar Rapids Executive Association, and the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. David loved music and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Jodi (Todd) Joslin and Jason Fisher, both of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Zoë Joslin, Weston Fisher, and Adeline Fisher, all of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Ardella (Sid) of Rocklin, California, Ladonna of Davenport, Iowa, and Denise (Greg) of Ely, Iowa; his former wife, Linda of Cedar Rapids; and many, many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Harley and Robert.
