CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested on charges that he sexually abused a woman while acting as a massage therapist for her in June.
Jaden Wood, 23, is charged with third-degree sexual abuse, assault with intent to commit sex abuse, and two counts of general assault.
According to a criminal complaint, a woman reported to police that Wood touched her in a sexual manner while he was acting as her massage therapist June 10 at Hands in Harmony Massage and Spa, 1615 32nd St. NE, Cedar Rapids.
Police confirmed that the sexual nature of the massage “was not allowable or typical practice at this business,” according to the complaint. Wood is no longer listed as a massage therapist on the Hands in Harmony website.
A warrant was issued for Wood’s arrest Nov. 13, and he was arrested Monday. He had his first appearance in court Monday and is being held in the Linn County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
